Cable Car Catastrophe!

This is the headline that came to mind as we ascended Namsan Mountain in a cable car crammed tight with bodies. Like all modes of transport in Korea, the amount of people that squeeze into each cable car is not for the claustrophobic or those who value personal space.

The purpose of our cable car trip was to take in the panoramic view of Seoul (see night snaps already posted) from Seoul Tower. At night the tower glowing through the spring trees with their new foliage is quite a magnificant sight.

As with many towers around the world, at Seoul Tower you are given information on your relative position to major cities around the world...

We haven't heard of any falls. I think our imaginations were vivid due to too much Discovery Channel viewing- see Sampoong Department Store disaster.
